June was an exciting month for the Metis ecosystem, with significant developments in various areas, including DeFi protocols and ecosystem expansion. Here are the key highlights:

Athena Finance: Athena Finance, a yield aggregator built on the Hummus protocol, was launched. By integrating with Hummus, Athena enables users to earn increased yields on their deposits without the need to stake their $HUM tokens or worry about veHUM accumulation. Athena also allows users to convert $HUM to $xHUM, which can be staked to earn a share of Athena’s performance fees. The platform utilizes converted tokens to stake on Hummus, generating perpetual veHUM accumulation. Additionally, liquidity providers receive rewards in the protocol token $ATH, which can be locked to receive protocol performance fees.

Eco Nodes: Metis Foundation, responsible for decentralized ecosystem governance and fostering a composable future for Web3, showcased its proactiveness in ecosystem development in June. Notably, Project M, a secret zk-powered project, was introduced with the goal of turning Ethereum into the global settlement layer by building infrastructure to make any blockchain compatible with Ethereum.

UniMaia Concentrated Liquidity Incentive: Metisans were delighted by the announcement of Maia DAO’s UniV3 concentrated liquidity incentive program. The program, sponsored by Metis, offered incentives for the ETH-USDC and METIS-USDC pools throughout June, with a total of $70,000 split between them. Participants could refer to a provided guide to participate in the incentive program.

PARSIQ’s Tsunami API Integration: Metis integrated PARSIQ’s fast Tsunami API, enhancing the ecosystem’s capabilities. PARSIQ is a comprehensive data network for building Web3 dApps and protocols. This integration provides eco projects and developers with access to raw data from the entire Metis chain, contributing to the ease and efficiency of building on Metis.

Furucombo Integration: Furucombo, a multi-chain DeFi aggregator, was implemented on the Metis ecosystem. Furucombo simplifies DeFi trading, making it more efficient and automated. Users can create unique DeFi ecosystem plans using Furucombo’s visual approach, where complex transactions are visualized as “cubes” resembling DeFi Lego blocks. By configuring the cubes’ inputs/outputs and order, users can combine them into a single transaction, leveraging protocols like Uniswap, Aave, Compound, and others. Users earn fees for their usage without requiring technical expertise.

Metis’s Commitment: Metis continues to build a robust hub that provides solutions for individuals and companies. With ongoing infrastructure development and incentives for Aave, the ecosystem is positioning itself as an attractive platform for developers and users alike.

About Metis: Metis is an Ethereum Layer-2 protocol focused on bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3. It offers a secure, decentralized, and scalable network, combining a robust Layer 2 with on-chain credentials and Decentralized Autonomous Companies (DACs). Metis aims to host open and trustless collaborations secured by Ethereum, empowering users in the Web3 space.
